Ukrainian military shows troops operating inside war torn Bakhmut

Ukraine's 93rd Mechanised Brigade released video from Bakhmut on Saturday (April 22) showing Ukrainian forces operating inside the city after Russia said it took three more districts there. “The enemy storming us is well-prepared. They are not convicts as some say. This is the unit that knows what they are doing. One shouldn’t underestimate the opponent,” the company commander, who uses call-sign ‘Tykhyi’, said in the video. Russia's Defence Ministry said on Saturday that Russian assault troops had captured three more districts in the western part of of Bakhmut. Reuters and Google Maps archive pictures, as well as 360 birdseye views of the surrounding area of Bakhmut Medical College, match the scenes shown in the video. Reuters was not able to independently verify the date the video was was filmed. Ukrainian and Russian units have been battling for months over the eastern city, much of which lies in ruins.
