Recognized by the Vatican, the Catholic priest has become a reference in the country, dedicating himself to a task that is increasingly unbelievable in the 21st century. Rubens Miraglia is one of the few experts in the Catholic Church to speak openly about his role. At 58 years old, the priest has become the greatest reference in the ritual of exorcism in Brazil within the Catholic Church. An exorcism can last from three days, with daily sessions, to years, with weekly sessions. The ritual is discreet, lasts from thirty to fifty minutes and consists basically of prayers and invocations to God and Our Lady. Miraglia's instruments are limited to a crucifix, holy water and the book with the universal rules of exorcism performed in the Catholic faith. In his parish, the Maronite Nossa Senhora do Líbano, in Bauru, in the interior of São Paulo, he performs at least one exorcism rite per month. He gives classes on the subject to lay people and parish priests. People from all over the country seek him out for help. The priest patiently attends to everyone. The reason? He is responsible for the Portuguese Linguistic Secretariat of the International Association of Exorcists, an institution recognized by the Vatican that brings together around 300 exorcists worldwide, fifteen of them in Brazil. #VEJA #EmPauta #Exorcismo
