George R.R. Martin Says The Five Key Characters Are No Longer Safe? - Game of Thrones Season 8

Welcome back for another Game of Thrones and ASOIAF video. Today I want to talk about George R.R. Martin's original outline for A Song of Ice and Fire. In 1993 he wrote a short outline for how his story would unfold, and this outline was posted online by his own publisher. It's obvious that most of his original ideas have changed, but fans have wondered if the 5 key characters were still destined to live throughout each volume. During an interview, GRRM said, he was making things up when he wrote that outline, but was he being honest, or trying to mislead us into believing Tyrion, Daenerys, Arya, Bran, and Jon Snow are no longer guaranteed to survive the series? If George was telling the truth, and he changed the outcome of some of these central characters, then we should see the same during the final season of Game of Thrones. Dan & Dave have said on multiple occasions that they know how George will end his story, but are they going to do the same as him, in terms of how each main character's story comes to an end?
