Tonight’s transmission drifts through a world of smoky nightclubs, hypnotic grooves and psychedelic desert dreamscapes. HABIBI FUNK explores the imaginary intersection between arabic psychedelia, exotic funk, surf guitar, tropical noir, ultra lounge and cinematic groove music — imagining forgotten dance floors, mysterious bazaars and late-night cocktail lounges from parallel vintage worlds. Inspired by arabic pop and funk from the 1960s and 1970s, Turkish psychedelia, belly dance records, exotic soundtrack LPs, surf instrumentals and classic ultra lounge compilations, this session blends hypnotic rhythms, seductive melodies and psychedelic textures into a dreamlike audiovisual journey. Expect swirling organs, reverberating surf guitars, mysterious Persian-inspired melodies, smoky baritone saxophone, hypnotic percussion and grooves designed for imaginary dance floors somewhere between Tehran, Acapulco and a forgotten tropical nightclub at midnight. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ TRANSMISSION NOTES More than a music channel, The Lounge Club is an ongoing experimental audiovisual laboratory — a space dedicated to atmosphere, storytelling, visual experimentation and sonic world-building. Many people ask in the comments if the music on this channel is made with AI. The short answer is: yes. But not only. My name is Isaac Varzim, a Brazilian artist with more than 30 years involved with music production, composition, curation and performance. I have a background in classical music and jazz, I’ve worked as a DJ for more than two decades, and some of you may also know me from my other channel, @isaacvarzim, where I share DJ sets and musical research projects. Here on The Lounge Club I use AI tools — especially SUNO — as part of a much larger creative process. But the process does not end there. In many ways, it actually begins there. Starting from detailed prompts involving musical references, atmospheres, moods, instrumentation, cinematic aesthetics and emotional directions, I begin constructing musical material that is later manipulated, remixed, reconstructed and expanded inside Ableton Live. The goal here is not simply to generate songs, but to build fictional worlds, emotional landscapes and imaginary cinematic transmissions. I’m not trying to pretend these recordings are performances by real human bands. That’s not what this project is. What I’m trying to explore are the artistic possibilities that can emerge despite all the contradictions these technologies carry — using my musical background, curatorial vision and artistic direction as the starting point. Maybe what’s happening here is not exactly “music” in the traditional sense. Maybe it’s something else entirely. And maybe we can discover that together. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Join The Lounge Club Society: / theloungeclubsociety Support the project: https://buymeacoffee.com/theloungeclub Contact: [email protected] Thank you for following these transmissions. — Isaac Varzim / The Lounge Club
