Beijing said that Wang reaffirmed its close ties shared with Moscow, and said China would continue to “uphold an independent and fair stance” on the Ukraine crisis. The call came days after peace talks on the Ukraine war in Saudi Arabia, which were attended by over 40 countries but excluded Russia.
