In this review, I will focus on the PC version and give my verdict on whether it's worth buying. The game is good but not great, feeling like it should have been released years ago. Dead Island 2 is a first-person zombie action game set in Los Angeles after a zombie apocalypse. The game offers a choice of six characters, each with their own advantages and disadvantages, and a whole stat sheet. The game is linear with large levels, and it features 24 story quests and 33 side quests. Combat is simple, with melee weapons and throwables. The weapon system shines with its upgrades, making combat extremely fun and interesting. The game's Gore system is where it truly shines, with realistic damage models that are insanely gory. Firearms are more powerful, but melee combat is much more fun. The story is pretty nice, with interesting characters. Overall, while I enjoyed the game, I wouldn't pay full price for it. #deadisland2
