Public comments get fiery at PG&E meeting with the CPUC #PacificGasandElectric On Fri., Oct. 17, the CA Public Utilities Commission held an emergency meeting to grill PG&E officials about the prior week's Public Safety Power Shutoffs. Hundreds of thousands of people were in the dark for days, as PG&E tried to avoid sparking a wildfire with its equipment. The company says more occasional shutoffs are likely to happen for years until the system is made safer. The public comment section of the meeting came last, and people did not hold back on their feelings about PG&E and its recent, widespread power shutoffs.
