🐏The LORD is My Shepherd - Pastor Peter Sunday Sermon

We re-uploaded the New Video with the main Bible verses added. Kindly watch. Pastor Peter brought to life Psalm 23, a psalm of trust by David, presents a radically different vision of God from Israel’s surrounding cultures. While ancient nations viewed the divine as distant, unpredictable, and mediated through human kings, Psalm 23 declares that the LORD Himself is the Shepherd—personal, present, and covenantally faithful. God provides, guides, restores, and protects His people, even through life’s darkest valleys. Drawing on Kenneth Bailey’s Middle Eastern insights, Pastor Peter said that the psalm portrays shepherding as demanding, intentional, and relational. The imagery moves from open fields, through dangerous valleys, to a secure home, ending with confident hope of lifelong goodness and eternal dwelling with God. Ultimately, Psalm 23 finds fulfillment in Jesus Christ, the Good, Great, and Chief Shepherd who lays down His life for the sheep.
