Death in Adam, Life in Christ (Romans 5:12-21)

Death in Adam, Life in Christ (Romans 5:12-21)

Adam opened the door to sin and death, but Christ, by His one act of righteousness, reversed the effects of Adam's sin for those who will receive His free gift. In Adam we find judgement, condemnation, and death. In Christ we find grace, justification, and eternal life. In this sermon we will also discuss a common misunderstanding of this passage. Some hold that verse 12 teaches that all people have inherited Adam's sin and guilt. But it is clear that death spread to all people, not because we inherited Adam's sin, but "because all sinned."
