Various shots, welcome signs STORYLINE: Relatives gave an emotional welcome to about 200 Marines from the First Battalion, Fifth Marine Regiment, as they arrived back in Camp Pendleton in California after taking part in the war in Iraq. As the buses carrying the troops pulled up, the crowd waved banners, cheered and screamed. The Marines were part of a combat unit which seized infrastructure of the Rumaila oil fields in southern Iraq. Members of the unit later took control of a palace in Baghdad, a point which marked, for many, the end of hostilities in the city.
