Pros: Easy to learn Cons: Inconsistent results Focus Auto Driving School 495 Flatbush Ave (Brooklyn Commons) Brooklyn New York 11225 718-773-7376 Roadtestready.com Five Hour Class Registration: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FA... Parallel Parking is not so much about a particular method, it's about how you execute that method. The key is consistency. Things you can control with this method: Always be the same exact distance from the vehicle that you are parallel parking behind. The distance between your vehicle and the vehicle that you are pulling next to should always be the same. It should not be 2-3 feet one time and 4-5 feet another. Your turning point should always be the same. Your turning point should not be mirror to mirror one time, mirror to the middle the next and then mirror to the back of the other vehicle another. Be as consistent as possible with your recovery point(s). This is the point(s) at which you either turn your steering wheel to the left to straighten out or turn your steering wheel to the left to reverse straight back. Be consistent with how much you turn your steering wheel in each step. This should be a precise as possible. You should not turn your steering wheel 1 full turn in one instance and then turn it 1.02 full turns in the next instance. Things you can not control with this method: The length and width of the other vehicle The distance that vehicle is from the curb The physical position of the license plate on the other vehicle Without making the proper adjustment these things could cause you to have inconsistent results. Tip: If the other vehicle does not have a license plate or it is in a funny position, line your mirror up to the middle of the rear bumper. Good luck. :-)
