Italian citizenship by descent just got a lot more complicated. On March 11, the Italian Constitutional Court held a hearing on the Tajani Decree - the 2025 law that limited citizenship by descent to two generations. The Turin referral was rejected, but the fight isn't over: More hearings are scheduled for the near future, and a separate question about whether a minor child loses citizenship when their parent naturalizes is still unresolved. My case hangs on that decision. In this video I walk through the whole citizenship by descent process - how it works, what the research actually looks like and everything that can go wrong. And I share where my case stands right now. If you're pursuing Italian citizenship by descent or just thinking about it, this one's for you. ___________________________________ More videos coming on visas, residency and what it actually takes to make the move to Italy. And I'll keep updating you as the court cases develop. #italiancitizenship #movingtoitaly #JureSanguinis #ItalianCitizenshipByDescent
