TMC's Rajya Sabha MP Derek O Brien on Post Poll Violence | Frankly Speaking

In this episode of Frankly Speaking, Navika Kumar is joined by Rajya Sabha MP from West Bengal, Derek O Brien to discuss the political scene in India. Discussing the post-poll violence which took place in Bengal Derek slams the center and NHRC for false claims. While the TMC completely denies the violence according to an NHRC report between May 2 and June 20, 1,934 police complaints were filed. There were 29 murder accusations, 12 rape and sexual assault reports, and 940 complaints of theft and arson. According to the report, only about 3% of the 9,304 people listed as suspects are currently imprisoned.
