A partial truce between the Syrian government and some of the rebel groups has been extended to Aleppo after US and Russian pressure. But there are reports that the regime dropped barrel bombs in Khan Touman in the southern Aleppo countryside, where Assad's forces are battling opposition fighters. The US says there's been a marked decrease in violence within the city, where heavy fighting has killed more than 250 people in the past ten days.
