After Yoshi became world-famous in his supporting role in "Super Mario World" in 1990, mastermind Shigeru Miayamoto dedicated a game to him in 1995, "Yoshi's Island," which told the story of Baby Mario and Yoshi. By now, Yoshi had numerous fans, as the SNES title was one of the best titles of its time. Pure innovation, challenging difficulty, a harmonious, cheerful soundtrack, and, last but not least, the exceptional graphic style enchanted players. But after that, things looked bleak. "Yoshi's Story" (1997 for N64), Yoshi's Island DS (2005 for DS), and "Yoshi's New Island" (2014 for 3DS), along with a few smaller titles, were the best-known and best games starring the dinosaur, but all fell far short of the goal of matching Yoshi's Island for the SNES. Now, Good Feel decided to give it a try. The first result, "Yarn Yoshi," was presented to us in a Nintendo Direct by Nintendo President Satoru Iwata in January 2013. However, the game was far too similar to Good Feels' "Kirby's Epic Yarn." Players and critics were disappointed from the start. So, at E3 2014, they surprised everyone with a complete reversal. The game shone in a new guise and was barely recognizable. They came up with an original, woolly visual appeal, conjured up another great soundtrack, and kept core gamers and casuals in mind when it came to level structure and tasks. But can "Yoshi's Woolly World" really convince us all the way through? Join the cuddly Woolly Yoshis, Juli, and me on our journey through the Woolly Atoll on our mission to free the Woolly Yoshis from Kamek's clutches. This together is a 100% run! That means we collect all the balls of wool, smiley flowers, and Miiverse crystals.
