"An environment that contributes to the promotion of exports to large markets has been created. We intend to welcome the entry into force of RCEP," said Minister Genjiro Kaneko during a press conference after the Cabinet meeting, Friday (11/5/2021). The RCEP, which was agreed by 15 countries including Japan, China, Australia and member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, will take effect on January 1, 2022 "We can expect export expansion in various fields," said Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Koichi Hagiuda. "Manufacturing, especially spare parts and materials, such as a significant increase in the proportion of goods exported from Japan that are not subject to tariffs both to China and South Korea. We hope exports can develop in various fields. We want to make efforts to disseminate the contents of the agreement so that Japanese companies , including small and medium-sized companies, can maximize the benefits of RCEP," he said.
