Best Upma recipe Ever | Farina Breakfast idea | Pillowy Khara Bhaath recipe | MTR & Veena stores

Let me tell you about my school days! I did my schooling in Malleshwaram, hub of eateries. One particular eatery which fascinated me was Veena stores. Veena stores actually is famous for their super soft melt in the mouth idli (I will be uploading their idli recipe as well). Many dont know their coveted khara Bhaath. It is just melt in the mouth. Veena stores serves their upma with coconut chutney, perfect jugalbandi in any rainy day. Interesting fact is that they dont use any onion or garlic. Its perfect balancing breakfast. https://www.anurveda.com/2020/09/best... I have recreated their recipe. I truly believe in sharing the recipes. Many people cannot come to India or Bangalore and have Veena stores Upma but you can make their delicacy at home. It is as much a good deed as sharing your food with others. Upma is actually originated from two words "uppu" "maavu"; it is also called uppittu = uppu + Hittu. It literally means savory flour. Very quick to make, and a balancing wholesome breakfast. Ginger in the recipe kickstart your metabolism. Proteins rich with semolina, chickpeas and Black gram. Don't be stingy with the oil in this recipe, you need good amount of fats to flush those stored unwanted toxins. You can make this recipe using any oil of your choice. Add freshly grated coconut or make coconut chutney. On any rainy day, sit down with a bowlful of upma and eat it with gratitude savoring every bite of it.
