DVD Review #277: Maleficent (2014) Australian DVD

Today, we’re reviewing a movie that I watched this afternoon, and it's the untold story of Disney's most iconic villain on this wickedly fun twist on the classic Sleeping Beauty called Maleficent! Released in 2014 and directed by Robert Stromberg, this movie stars Angelina Jolie as the titular character of the same name, Sharlto Copley, Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Imelda Staunton, Juno Temple and Leslie Manville. Maleficent, a kind-hearted fairy who changed after her lover Stefan deceived her, places a curse on his daughter Aurora. But soon she realizes that only Aurora can bring peace to the troubled country. Unfortunately, Jeremy Snider HATES this movie because of the fantasy themes as violence as well as the frightening images and it gives him a headache! When he saw bits and pieces of this movie at school back in 2016 which was from a DVD that one of the teachers borrowed from a library, he disapproved of it and had to unveil his opinion on it! As such, he's NOT getting it on Blu-Ray or 4K Ultra HD at all and he's gonna nickname it “Magnificent”! Also, this movie was mentioned in a GoAnimate video that he saw back in 2014 called “Paulina misbehaves at the movies”. Sadly, the aforementioned video’s not on YouTube anymore. This was followed by the sequel from 2019 called Maleficent: Mistress of Evil and I will get it on DVD soon! What was your favourite scene in this movie and why did you like it?
