INDIAN ARMY DEPARTS FOR AUSTRALIA | EXERCISE AUSTRAHIND 2025 | INDO-AUSTRALIAN DEFENCE COOPERATION

An Indian Army contingent of 120 personnel has departed for Irwin Barracks, Perth, Australia, to take part in the 4th edition of the India–Australia Joint Military Exercise AUSTRAHIND 2025, scheduled from October 13–26. The exercise aims to enhance defence cooperation, strengthen military interoperability, and promote strategic partnership between the two nations. The Indian contingent, led by a battalion of the Gorkha Rifles, will engage in joint company-level operations, tactical drills, and specialized arms training in open and semi-desert terrain.
