Putin wins Russian presidential election

Election officials announced on Sunday that 30% of the votes had been counted, revealing Putin's lead with 87.68% of the votes. Putin's victory has never been in doubt. However, this marks his largest margin of victory in any of the five presidential elections he has won since his first victory in 2000. A formal celebration is scheduled for Monday.
