Dame Dash @damedashstudios www.damedashstudios.com Follow him at   / duskopoppington   First 5 Minutes of Automated Transcript: 00:00 and being safe from coronavirus is far 00:02 from over 00:03 we have an election coming up we 00:05 certainly have some history to look 00:07 forward to potentially but 00:09 uh times are not the best we have a lot 00:11 to fight through 00:12 and so when cooney and i are here today 00:14 to talk to you about exactly how 00:16 politicking is going to do that 00:19 and to echo jordan's sentiments we have 00:22 to start by beginning 00:23 and introducing what politicking is 00:25 politicking is a social political mobile 00:27 application 00:29 meant to really galvanize millennials 00:31 into voting i think this was a tv show 00:34 is it not if you're introducing an app 00:37 right now 00:38 yeah yeah this is probably the tv show 00:41 all right all right 00:54 within your intro you're going to say 00:55 we're going to talk about this and i 00:56 have a special guest 00:58 that you used to show okay and then you 01:01 know 01:02 you get your next segment so it might be 01:04 with me okay 01:05 or your first second should be whatever 01:07 you're talking about like that's like 01:08 how 01:09 you know like our single might do a 01:11 monologue but go through a monologue 01:13 make it about 01:13 what's on your mind you know you gotta 01:15 lie really that should last about three 01:17 to five minutes 01:19 then going to your next second and then 01:22 when you get really hot 01:23 and get clicking with the polytechnic 01:33 real quick there's a lot going on right 01:35 now um well first i didn't do the intro 01:39 so first you have to introduce the show 01:40 excuse who you are you might want to 01:42 talk about what politicking as an actor 01:44 that's how it became a show 01:46 right and then you go into your subjects 01:49 and then you go into your next one yeah 01:52 how's everybody doing you're talking to 01:54 jordan wilson and winkuni sean of 01:56 politicking 01:57 and right now we're doing just exactly 01:59 uh what we call our company we're going 02:01 to politic we're going to talk about 02:02 what's happening today 02:04 we have a special guest and we're really 02:05 going to get you guys informed and 02:07 engaged 02:08 about what's going on in the world 02:11 i would say it's a tv show okay so 02:14 it says the tv show talk about it and be 02:18 like it was based on it after we started 02:20 turned into 02:34 how's everybody how's everybody doing 02:37 today 02:38 um thank you for joining politicking my 02:40 name is jordan wilson 02:42 this is when cuny sean and we're both 02:44 here to let you all know 02:45 why we started a show and a company to 02:48 get young 02:49 black brown and disconnected people 02:51 engaged 02:52 with politics a lot of people feel like 02:55 their vote doesn't count a lot of people 02:57 feel like 02:58 their voices do not matter you know 03:00 politicking is a platform 03:01 in a show that helps you understand 03:03 exactly why that's not the case so we've 03:06 got special guests today 03:07 we're going to politic for a little bit 03:09 and get you informed on what's happening 03:10 but the last thing that we want you all 03:12 to do is watch this show and feel like 03:15 there's no way that you can make an 03:16 impact in politics 03:19 yeah so to begin a lot of people want to 03:20 know what is politicking and how did 03:23 politicking the series 03:24 the road to elections come about so 03:27 politicking started back in 2016 born 03:30 with an idea of myself 03:32 and jordan when we walked into polling 03:34 precincts 03:35 and realized we knew little to nothing 03:38 about what was going on at the bottom of 03:39 the ballot 03:40 so a lot of people are going in to vote 03:43 november 2020 and it might be their 03:45 first time and they only know about the 03:47 presidential candidates 03:48 but what we came to realize was that 03:50 there were other people on the ballot 03:52 that mattered just as much if not 03:54 more than those presidential candidates 03:56 and so with politicking the series 03:58 we're really coming to you to demystify 04:01 who's on the ballot 04:02 at a local state and federal level and 04:05 the issues that affect us on state local 04:07 and federal levels so whether that be 04:09 education 04:10 national security or immigration we're 04:12 going to be bringing to you live at 04:14 direct 04:14 and so we're really really excited to 04:16 politics today we're excited for our 04:18 special guest 04:19 and we're just excited to excited to 04:20 chop it up with you guys we know that 04:23 right now there's so much convoluted 04:25 stuff going on within the political 04:26 spectrum
