Japan earthquake: Death toll rises to 20

Rescue workers continued their search under mud and debris, for quake victims buried by landslides on Japan's northern island of Hokkaido, as electricity was restored gradually and some transport services resumed. A powerful earthquake left at least seven people dead, more than 100 injured and dozens missing in Hokkaido, with the death toll likely to rise. Many tourists are stranded at the New Chitose Airport, in northern Japan's Sapporo city, after a preliminary magnitude 6.7 earthquake rocked Hokkaido island, earlier in the week.
