Not In My Back Yard: A Short Documentary Film

"Not In My Back Yard" is a short documentary film that explores the impact of social services in Metro Vancouver, with a strong focus in Surrey, BC. There are those who are for and those who are against social services: residents who rally and start petitions against opening homeless shelters and treatment centres in their "back yard;" and those who dedicate their lives to provide these services to communities. We speak to various experts and discuss the impact of social housing, homeless shelters, and mental health and addiction treatment centres on neighbourhoods.
