Shadow the Hedgehog (GCN) – The Last Way in 01:29.99 (Glitchless)

This record is “Glitchless”, meaning that it doesn’t use game-breaking glitches, go through any type of walls, or go out of bounds to get fastest times. I had not speedran this category (or anything in this stage) before today, which is something that I really wanted to do for a while. I worked on this by finding a solid strategy, and I got a decent time that is near the 1st place record (the best time that I could find written on the internet was 01:27.24 from OmegaDJ). I made some mistakes here and the approach to the level could be better, but it was still a fast completion. I use the key door in this stage because it contains a big shortcut; the video has the key door being opened and then the main gameplay of the record because losing a life with a key door open (and without using a checkpoint) keeps the door open but starts the level from the beginning.
