Most parts of the country are witnessing extreme heat conditions & certain areas also recorded a high temperature of 49°C. However, As per IMD's prediction, the western disturbance has arrived on time. Good cloud cover seen in North Rajasthan, Punjab & Haryana & Delhi is witnessing strong winds. RK Jenamani, Senior Scientist at IMD said, "Heatwave is there, we've issued an orange alert for today. Don't expect heatwaves from tomorrow, there will be thunderstorms in certain areas." He further said, "Monsoon is showing good development & already arrived. There is good monsoon convection in the South Bay of Bengal & there will be pre-monsoon thunderstorms in Kerala.
