An Iowa farm destroyed by two derechos in a decade

Once a decade - that’s how often a region may see a devastating derecho. These storms can cause widespread devastation and powerful, persistent wind gusts over 100mph. Benton County, Iowa knows this all to well, including Johnson Farms near Garrison, which was hit by a derecho in 2011 and again on Aug. 10.
