Today's VOA60 America The United States will expand the food and medical supplies it gives to the Syrian rebels, said Secretary of State John Kerry after a meeting in Rome with the 'Friends of Syria group.'  Kerry said the U.S. decision to provide more non-lethal is based on the "continued brutality" of the Assad forces.   The Department of Homeland Security is blaming the automatic budget cuts that are to go into effect Friday for its decision to release hundreds of illegal immigrants being held in Arizona.  Arizona's Republican governor called the move 'pure political posturing' that would endanger public safety. Rosa Parks has become the first black woman to be honored with a full-length statue in the U.S. Capitol's Statuary Hall. On Wednesday, President Obama and Congressional leaders paid tribute at Parks, who more than 50 years ago helped spark the civil rights movement.  Parks died in 2005 at the age of 92.
