Exclusive Interview - Kissing Candice at Rockstar Mayhem Festival 2015

HollywoodChicago.com presents this exclusive interview with the horror film-inspired metal band Kissing Candice. Kissing Candice tour manager, Dominic Ferger, interviews ex-Dr. Acula keyboardist and sample mastermind Joey Simpson and bassist Mike Grippo for HollywoodChicago.com to discuss their unique stage personas, horror film influences, new album and more. We spoke with the band on July 12, 2015 at Rockstar Mayhem Festival outside of Chicago in Tinley Park. Kissing Candice started as a vision in early 2012. Ex-Dr. Acula keyboardist and sample mastermind Joey Simpson was looking to combine metal, hardcore, industrial and electronic music in a unique and cinematic fashion. Taking on the role of frontman, Joey hit the studio with producer Jeremy Comitas to record the debut EP "Murder". While giving listeners a taste of what to expect from the band, Joey then realized it was time to put together a full band. Tommy Sciro (guitar), Marco Caruso (drums), Mike Grippo (bass) and Walter Dicristina (guitar) joined Joey to form Kissing Candice as a five-piece band from Long Island.
