For many people, October 31 is always that time for tricking or treating. It's either that, or playing some horror games (or, at the very least, games which are based on horror themes, e.g. 'Castlevania'). Sure, 'Super Smash Bros. Ultimate' by default isn't horrifying whatsoever, but given all the outrage over 'Fire Emblem: Three Houses' and 'Minecraft' being represented in this game as playable characters... Yeah, I'd say it's not for the faint-hearted.
