This is video #05 in my playthrough of Super Mario World. Mario has cleared the third region of Dinosaur Land, the Vanilla Dome, and gained access to the Twin Bridges. After picking up Blue Yoshi again, he heads to the upper bridge and starts Butter Bridge 1 (time 0:53). This is an auto-scrolling stage with balancing platforms. Blue Yoshi is quite helpful for collecting all the Dragon Coins. Next, Mario goes through Butter Bridge 2 (time 3:01). Lots of shell-chucking Koopas and swooping Koopas in this stage. The first Dragon Coin is hidden in the clouds near the stage entrance. The fourth is located down the second pipe after the midway gate. The fifth one is a bit tricky to get. Afterwards, Mario will be able to access #4 Ludwig's Castle, but there is still the lower bridge to take care of. So, he heads through the Vanilla Dome again so that he can go through the Cheese Bridge Area (time 5:12). The first three Dragon Coins require activating all three of the platforms at the beginning. Right after the midway point, if Mario is on a Yoshi of some description, he can get some wings out of the question block and fly up to a secret areawhere he can collect normal coins and Dragon Coins while evading and eating Fuzzies. Dropping out at the end counts as a normal exit, leading to the tasty Cookie Mountain. Mario returns to the Cheese Bridge Area in search of the secret exit (time 7:10). Accessing this secret exit is very tricky and requires either clever flying with the super cape or crazy maneuvers with a Yoshi of some description. I prefer the latter. Near the end, Mario will have to use Yoshi to bounce past some chainsaws. Then, he will have to go under the exit gate and leap off Yoshi when he is past the gate. Then, he will find a 3-up and the secret gate. Mario will now be able to access the Soda Lake down below the bridge (time 9:17). It is indeed a challenging aquatic stage, but it just requires care navigating around the enemies. The Torpedo Teds cannot be killed. The reward for overcoming this challenge is access to the third Star Road. After collecting another Blue Yoshi, Mario visits Cookie Mountain (time 12:41). The third Dragon Coin is located up a vine just past the midway gate. The Green and Red Switches will make a couple of spots easier in this stage. After this stage, Mario will be able to climb the mountain to #04 Ludwig's Castle (time 14:43). The second hall of this castle is certainly the most harrowing, with a spiky ceiling slowly descending. At the end, Ludwig von Koopa is the only Koopaling with a unique attack pattern. Reminiscent of Bowser in Super Mario Bros., he spits fireballs at Mario. Then, he will duck into his shell and spin around the floor. Unfortunately for Ludwig, Mario can make short work of him with fireballs. Way too easy compared with Ludwig's incarnation in Super Mario Bros. 3. After making an indelible mark on the landscape, Mario can move on to the fifth region of Dinosaur Land, the Lost Woods ... er, I mean, the Forest of Illusion. Thanks for watching!
