Man crushed by equipment at quarry in Brooksville, deputies say

A man is dead after a serious industrial accident at an aggregate supplier in Hernando County, the sheriff's office said. Deputies say it happened shortly after 9 a.m. at CEMEX - Brooksville Quarry on Camp Mine Road in Brooksville. Investigators say the man was working with heavy machinery in the "pit" of the quarry when, for unknown reasons, he became entangled within the equipment and was crushed.
