Why You Probably Shouldn't Raise Rabbits In Colonies

I know this is a controversial issue that a lot of people have strong feelings on. I'm not here to claim that any one way is superior to another or that people who don't do what I say are bad, misguided, or wrong. If you are currently raising meat rabbits in colonies, and its working for you that's awesome! You're probably already aware of some of the issues I talk about, and maybe you'll learn about some new ones to keep and eye on. But if its working for you, keep on doing it! If you're new to raising meat rabbits and are interested in colonies, I would STRONGLY recommend you raise rabbits in a more traditional way, at least until you get a little more experience. If after you've spent a couple years working with rabbits and you still want a give it a try, then proceed with caution and keep these issues in mind. Who knows, you may come up with an innovative solution to some of them! I have a lot of experience raising rabbits, and I do believe that my criticisms here are justified.
