Texas Statewide Multimodal Transit Plan 2050

As our state's population and economy continue to grow, TxDOT has been developing the Statewide Multimodal Transit Plan (Texas SMTP 2050) to help Texans get to where they want to go more effectively, efficiently and safely while meeting the needs of our fast-growing state and contributing to a next-generation transportation network. With input from stakeholders and communities across the state, this plan presents a coordinated, unified vision for multimodal transportation priorities through 2050 and beyond. The SMTP includes transit such as buses, trains, ferries, and on-demand rideshare. TxDOT is hosting a series of public meetings and seeking public feedback on the development of the SMTP.
