Serum Superiority is a series focused on the technical assessment of various popular synthesizers and how the functionality and quality compares to Serum. Despite the title this is an open dialog about the various benefits of different synthesizers, however I do hope to prove the initial assertion. Serum Superiority #1 - Sub Fundamental Aliasing and Non Harmonic Distortion In this Serum Superiority we do a synthesizer shootout stacking Serum against 9 other highly regarded soft synths. After some basic comparisons we use a spectrum analyzer to assess the various amounts of Sub Fundamental Aliasing and Non Harmonic Distortion present in each synthesizer.
