In this video, I’m updating the public about the recent change in the vehicle ownership transfer system in Islamabad Capital Territory. According to the new system introduced by the Excise & Taxation Department, the seller will now retain the number plate of the vehicle instead of transferring it to the new owner. The department will allot a new registration number and new number plate to the purchaser of the vehicle. This means when a seller purchases a new vehicle in the future, they will be able to reuse their retained number plate for that vehicle. This change is aimed at improving vehicle tracking and simplifying ownership transitions.
