How to keep any greens fresh for longer, including spinach, kale, lettuce, Swiss chard, etc. This is a super easy and effective storage tip. READ BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS... It's easy. The #1 threat is moisture. So,to keep your greens fresh, use a paper towel or napkin in the bottom of your container. Check it one in a while and wipe away any condensation that's collected. Also, throw away any leaves that have wilted. They can contaminate the rest. Your spinach will last AT LEAST 1.5-2 weeks this way. Especially if you check on it once in a while. If you need to store your greens for longer than 2 weeks, you'll need to take your storage strategy to another level. For this storage tip, to keep your greens from wilting, you'll store them in an air-tight bag. Use a heavy duty zip lock bag with a good seal, and use a straw to suck the air out.
