Hello my dears. Welcome back to The Good Muck Guide to Yoga Nidra: Digging into the 5 Koshas! I’m Caitlin Fahey and I’ll be your guide in Part 2 of this series, where you will journey into the Pranamaya Kosha, the energy or breath body. The Koshas originate from Vedic philosophy and describe five successive sheaths or layers of the subtle bodies. After connecting to the physical body (annamaya kosha) in Part 1, you now move inward to pranamaya kosha, the energy body, to continue cultivating deep rest and increasing self-awareness to align you with your intentions and create lasting change. What to Expect: This practice is designed to move and clear any energy that may be stagnant in the body. You will use a gentle Progressive Muscle Relaxation and a few rounds of Conscious Connected Breath to prepare the body for yoga nidra. You’ll also use the powerful Physiological Sigh—a double inhale and long exhale—which is scientifically proven to downregulate the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) before moving through the first two koshas. Option to use “I release what no longer serves me” as your sankalpa or intention for this practice. 🔗 Next Steps & Series Links: 🌿Watch Part 1 (Annamaya Kosha): • Kosha Series Part 1 | 22 Minute Yoga Nidra... 🌿Watch the Full Series: • The Good Muck Guide to Yoga Nidra: Digging...
