In 1982, Paramount decided to rerelease Sergio Leone's masterpiece. Unfortunately, someone at Paramount took it upon himself to remove random shots from the opening credits. It's difficult to say exactly which shots were removed, but one can make educated guesses. The Italian DVD from 2003 features an extended version of the film, including additional shots during the title sequence. The added footage comes from that DVD release (note the difference in quality). I can't upload the entire opening sequence because it gets blocked by a copyright claim. But instead, I'll upload the relevant moments where the extensions occur.
