Abandoned Building Fire / Homeland RAW FOOTAGE

loudlabs.com HOMELAND - On Sunday evening, August 14, 2016 at 9:43 pm, CAL FIRE/Riverside County Firefighters responded to a structure fire with reports of power lines down on the corner of Hwy 74 and Cortrite Ave in the unincorporated community of Homeland. First arriving engine company on scene located an abandoned building fully engulfed with fire, no power lines were down, however lines above the structure did catch on fire. Highway 74 was briefly shut down while firefighters extinguished the blaze and determined the line that was damaged was not compromised and that it would not fall onto the highway. No injuries were reported from the public or firefighters, the cause of the fire is unknown at this time. No other information was immediately available.
