Dealing with tragic events and difficulty in our lives and turbulent modern times.

The Prophet Muhammad (saw) and his followers went through very difficult and testing times. The Prophet lost his uncle who protected and supported him through his life, he lost his beloved wife Khadijah (ra), and his 3 daughters whilst he was alive, a son, and his friends amongst his companions. His followers hand to endure patiently the systematic torture, ridicule, boycotts, and vilifications aimed at them and their faith, they lost wealth and property. However they stood firm in their faith in God. On Friday the 15th of March as Muslim brothers and sisters were preparing themselves for Jummah prayers 50 were attacked and killed and a further 48 wounded. May Allah shower his love and mercy on those who have passed away grant a high station in the hereafter and grant shifa (speedy recovery) to the injured. Our prayers and thoughts are with the family members, loved ones, friends and the community of Christchurch, New Zealand.
