High Drama At Delhi 5-Star Hotel Over China G20 Delegates' Bags | PM Modi | Xi Jinping | Summit 2023

A drama unfolded at a 5-star hotel in Delhi when the Chinese delegation, which arrived in the national capital for G20 Summit 2023, refused to get a bag checked by the security staff at the hotel. The G20 Summit took place from September 9 to 10 at the Bharat Mandapam convention hall within Delhi's Pragati Maidan. The summit included participation from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, the UK, the US, and the European Union. Several top leaders of the world attended the event, but notably, both the Chinese President and the Russian President were absent from the summit. The initial focus was on why these leaders were not attending the event, but then a noteworthy incident took place at a luxury hotel in Delhi as the Chinese delegation declined to have one of their bags inspected by the hotel's security personnel. According to an NDTV report, the Chinese delegates were accommodated at the Taj Palace Hotel in Chanakyapuri, which is located in the city's diplomatic enclave. During their stay, a Chinese delegation brought a bag to the hotel, and in accordance with diplomatic protocols, the hotel's security personnel allowed the bags to enter. However, a hotel employee later discovered what was described as ""suspicious equipment"" inside two of the bags in one of the rooms occupied by the delegation. Upon being informed, the hotel's security department requested the delegation members to have the bags scanned, but they reportedly resisted this request, attempting to pass it off as 'diplomatic baggage.' Sources indicate that their refusal resulted in a standoff, which was eventually resolved only after the Chinese officials agreed to send the bags to their embassy. ""The security team maintained a presence outside the hotel room for approximately 12 hours, but the Chinese officials remained reluctant to have their bags checked,"" said a source cited by NDTV. ""After extensive discussions, the Chinese delegation eventually relocated their bags to the embassy,"" the source added. As per a report by the economic times, The exact nature and purpose of the equipment remain a mystery, as Indian security personnel did not have an opportunity to examine the devices closely. Intelligence officials speculate that such equipment is typically used for intercepting and jamming secure communication channels. However, further details about the contents of the suitcases remain elusive. The bags in question, meant for carrying 'diplomatic baggage,' drew attention due to their unusual size, prompting security officers to take notice. Moreover The report goes on to add that the Chinese delegation had requested a separate and 'private' internet connection at the hotel but the request was denied. #G20Summit #G20Summit2023 #China #Delhi #G20 #Delegates #Bag #PMModi #TajHotels #G20Summit2023 #Mysterious #India #liqiang #indiachina #foreignminister #XiJinping #HWNews To Join Youtube Membership -    / @hwnewsenglish   SUBSCRIBE to HW News English Here ► http://bit.ly/Subscribe-HWNews-English Connect With Us On: → Facebook:   / hwnewsenglish   → Twitter:   / hwnewsenglish   → Instagram:   / hwnewsenglish   → Dailymotion : https://www.dailymotion.com/hwenglish For More Videos Visit Here: https://hwnews.in/
