As promised, we have had a few breaks in the rain today, showers and storms started with the boundary off to our west last night. Two rounds of rain came through for many and timed out as expected, with the rain clearing this afternoon and evening. A few even enjoyed some breaks in the clouds. Lingering showers or a storm are possible tonight, with at least one more shot at rain with the cold front Friday afternoon/evening. Overnight Tonight: A 40% chance of isolated showers, mostly driven by lingering boundaries and land breeze interactions. Rain chances will taper off into the early morning. Storm Risk: The severe threat is low. While winds could be strong in any organized storms, the "slight risk" zone has been mostly removed from our area. Looking Ahead – Friday Cold Front Timing: The front is expected to move through Friday afternoon into the early evening, bringing a 50% chance of scattered showers and a few storms. Some areas will just get a quick sprinkle, while others could see brief downpours. Surf & Winds Surf remains relatively calm, 2–4 feet possible Friday as winds increase ahead of the front. By Saturday, surf should subside to around 2 feet, and winds will shift north, bringing drier and more comfortable air. The Weekend – Gorgeous Weather Ahead The upper-level trough moves through early Saturday, bringing one last chance of showers along the coast, then clearing skies and cooler temps. Saturday Morning: Some spots could dip into the low 60s.Saturday & Sunday: Expect sunshine, lower dew points, and comfortable air — an ideal setup for outdoor plans. Heads-Up for Next Week Heat and humidity return by Tuesday, so enjoy the dry air while it lasts!
