Throughout his tale, Silas recounts his long quest for revenge against the man he believes killed his brothers—Roscoe "Bob" Bryant. However, as he tells his story, Silas often changes details, and the world around the player shifts accordingly, revealing that he may not be a reliable narrator. In the end, Silas comes to terms with the truth: Bob Bryant, the man he's been hunting for years, was once close to him in the past. The player is given a choice—to let Bob live or to kill him—providing an open-ended conclusion shaped by the player's decision.
