Are your 3D prints supposed to be square, but they come out looking more like a rhombus? This common problem is called skew, and it often happens when your printer's frame isn't perfectly square. In today's video, I'm continuing my quest for the perfect 3D print by showing you exactly how to fix this with Klipper skew correction. Using Klipper's powerful, built-in equations, we can compensate for a skewed frame and make our prints significantly more accurate. I'll walk you through the entire process, following the official Klipper documentation. Here’s what we'll cover step-by-step: Downloading and slicing the 100mm test model designed specifically for Klipper skew correction. How to properly orient the model on your print bed, making sure the 'A' corner points toward your printer's origin. Taking all the necessary measurements for the XY, XZ, and YZ planes using digital calipers. I show you exactly how I measure the AC, BD, and AD lengths for each orientation. -Entering those values into a calibration spreadsheet to automatically generate the correction command. Adding the [skew_correction] module to your printer.cfg file to activate the feature. Paste the SET_SKEW command into the Klipper console to save the correction to your printer. Updating your slicer's start and end G-code to automatically apply the Klipper skew correction on every print. To prove it works, I print a second model after applying the correction and compare it to the first one. I'll even show you my spreadsheet where you can see that the new measurements are better and the error is lower than the initial values, confirming the fix worked!
