WERSI TS 7000 Brian Bromberg Serengeti Walk

To get an impression only over the sound quality of these extremely rare speakers I took some audio files via deezer. With earphones you will get a got result. Ipad Air 2 is the source. Pre : Yamaha C-4 Main : Yamaha C-60, Speaker cables are all DIY. Infos to that later. Digital camera: Simple Casio Exilim EX H10, no special microphone. During the last 12 month I did a lot of changes in my audio setup. First off all I changed the position of the glass cabinet diagonal in the room. A cable channel was fixed on the floor to connect the speakers. Then my former "loved one" amplifyer - Pioneer A-616 Mark II - got some electronic faultys and I searched on buying platforms for another vintage combination with or using two turntable with different cartridges and three pairs of speakers - always connected. It took a lot of time. Garrard DD400: First sound sample about this TT on youtube! Fully manual operating single source Direct Drive Turntable. Built under Garrard in the mid 80's, put an ADC Headshell - Magnesium - and an Ortofon OD 1 cartridge on it. Impress yourself! The seller did not have the original headshell any more. The combination was a bargain - TT 10,- Euro, Headshell with cartridge 35,- Euro. The vertical bearing of the tonearm needs to be checked; it's not tight enough. But I will do that later. I bought the turntable, to get more impressions with my cartridges with higher dynamic compliance. The Pre-Amplifier Yamaha C-4 allows the permanent combination of 3 turntables : two MM and one MC. Actual combination within the hifi system are Garrard DD400 - Direct Drive - with low mass tonearm with an effectiv mass minus than 10 g Ortofon OD1 MM, Systemdek II - Belt Drive - with tonearm Linn Basik Plus, effective mass is 15 g, with Benz Micro Gold MC - low output - dynamic compliance is exact 15 - so fits perfect, ELAC Miracord 50 H2 - Idler Drive - with Audio Technica PT800 MM a P-Mount system with adapter or Benz Micro Silver MC - high output - dynamic compliance 15. I'am totally confident with these turntables and its opportunities. Speakers : WERSI TS 7000 : First sound sample on youtube as part of an hifi system ! Two way speaker system - bought 7 months ago for 160,- Euro a pair - with chassis from Philips. The speakers were disigned as PA-speakers to combine an organ from Wersi which they were famous for. But the company went benkruptcy in the mid 80's. Weights : 37 kg each. We put some carbon fibre film upon the front to reach a more modern design. After taking some sound samples with these speakers they will leave the room and will be part of a dolby surround system in another room of the house. Because I have another pair of Wersi speakers I will introduce you in the near future - WERSI TS 5000. These are from the mid 70's or older, pure vintage. I cant say it exactly. They were disgned to work with signals from tube amplifiers mainly - full range speakers - and sound that unbelievable. So, in this video You see and hear three vintage hifi parts on youtube for the first time. Each of them is excellent value for the money. But You need to have the right partners. If you are searching for a turntable with a low mass tonearm -- go for Garrard DD400 - higly underrated. Exellent sounding with a lot of potential for cartridge changes or tuning if you want. If you look for more automatic functions go for Garrard DD450 or 455. If You have other ideas of vintage turntables from other producers with low mass tonearms please leave a comment. Thank you very much. Musik from deezer : Jazz : Brian Bromberg, Serengeti Walk, Album Downright Upright
