Inside, they uncover the sinister Dark Room, a place used to drug, photograph, and exploit girls, with chilling evidence showing Kate Marsh and Rachel among the victims. Following the trail, the girls discover Rachel’s buried body in the junkyard, confirming her death and leaving Chloe devastated. Believing Nathan Prescott to be responsible, they attend the Vortex Club’s “End of the World” party to confront him, but he never appears. Instead, Max is drugged and awakens tied up in the Dark Room, where the shocking truth is revealed: it is not Nathan but Mr. Jefferson, her trusted photography teacher, who is behind the crimes. This devastating twist not only reframes the investigation but also solidifies Episode 4 as the emotional and narrative breaking point of the game.
