My Liberation | WW2 Short Film Festival Award Nominated | 101st Airborne (4K)

The short film ‘My Liberation’ (2018) was shot across several reenactment events (most notably ‘Kasteel Heeswijk Bevrijd’). My Liberation tells the story of (fictional) 101st Airborne Division veteran private 1st class Garnett. This project came to life through the spontaneous cooperation and support of reenactors, who beforehand were unaware I would be filming at the event and of the (unscripted) story I wanted to shoot that weekend. With an idea in mind the story fully came to life trough enthusiastic and creative interactions with all people involved on site.
