DAYTON--Dayton Police made an arrest in the homicide of Take Gangloff, a 75 year old woman, who was gunned down near a bus stop last month. Police said they arrested a 17 year old male. The teen is now behind bars at the Montgomery County Juvenile Justice Center. Police aren't releasing the juvenile's name at this time. Detectives said the teen admitted to the murder during questioning. He did make some admissions and we are very happy. We've run a big race in a short amount of time. Homicide Supervisor Sgt. Rick Blommel said. Detectives said the teen acted alone on September 13 when he tried to steal Gangloff's purse as she was walking to the bus stop on Norwood Avenue near Mound Street. Police said she fought back and detectives said the teen shot her in the head. Neighbors who lived close to Gangloff at Georgetown Village Complex are thankful and relieved police made an arrest. That's great, because it takes a lot of fear off these older people around here and everything. Gangloff's neighbor said. Police said an anonymous tip led them to a house in the 15 hundred block of Watson, where they arrested the teen. This was such a heinous crime, and we got numerous calls and we don't normally get a lot of calls. People don't get involved. Police said they will be pushing to have the teen tried as an adult. He should be tried as an adult. Gangloff's neighbor said. He did an adult crime, He took somebody's life and she was a good person. I'm glad they got him. I hope he gets everyday.
