Bruggeman served eight years with the U.S. Marine Corps, where her service included leading a company of Marines into Iraq during the 2003 invasion. In her talk, Bruggeman focuses on finding courage and power in embracing difference and advocating for change as a woman Marine. Mary Beth Bruggeman is a Georgetown graduate and an Executive Director of the Southeast Region for The Mission Continues, a national nonprofit that engages military veterans in new missions of service nationwide.
