A major accident occurred last night in Delhi's Karol Bagh area when a bus packed with passengers suddenly overturned. Immediately following the mishap, bystanders wasted no time in alerting the police. Upon receiving the information, personnel from the nearest police station—along with a police team patrolling the area—rushed to the scene. When the police arrived, the sight was harrowing; the bus lay overturned on the road, and the screams of passengers trapped inside could be heard. Many passengers were critically injured, and some were wedged between the seats, making their extraction extremely difficult. Assessing the gravity of the situation, the police immediately initiated relief operations. Meanwhile, according to Rishi Kumar, Additional DCP (Central), Constable Rohit—who was present at the scene—demonstrated remarkable presence of mind and took a decisive step. He spotted a JCB machine passing nearby.
